Effective 7 October 2026. SheetSure is a personal project. Questions: hello@sheetsure.com.

Your files

Your workbook is used only to convert or check it. It's deleted as soon as your converted file is ready, or straight away if something fails. We never keep it or look at its contents, and we don't keep a copy of the converted file. The only part of it we keep is what you choose to send in a “This result is wrong” report (below).

Formulas you try in the playground are only converted: they aren't kept or logged.

What we collect

  • No account, no third-party analytics, and SheetSure itself sets no cookies. Your browser remembers your light or dark choice and, for the current tab only, which steps were already counted, so they aren't counted twice. Neither is sent to us.
  • To tell people from automated traffic, the converter, the playground and the forms use Cloudflare Turnstile. It runs a quick check in your browser, and only now and then asks you to tick a box. To do that, Cloudflare processes your network address, your browser's user agent and connection details, and which site the check is on; it doesn't see your file, your formulas or what you type in a form. We only get Cloudflare's answer. When it's yes, your browser gets a pass for an hour that the page keeps in memory, not in a cookie, and it's gone when you close the tab. Cloudflare explains what it does with that data in its Turnstile privacy addendum.
  • Anonymous counts of how many visits reach each step, and your optional “What's this for?” answer. Nothing that identifies you.
  • For the daily limits (such as 10 conversions a day, and a few form answers), a code made from your network address that changes every day, and how many times it was used. The code is deleted the next day.
  • Technical logs. Our hosting provider records each request: the time, the page or step, whether it worked, your network address, your browser and your approximate location. We use these only to keep the service running and to investigate problems, never to track you, and they're deleted automatically within 7 days. The conversion service logs each request too, without your address: the step, whether it worked, how long it took, the size of your file and of the converted file, how many cells and formulas it has, the conversion settings (direction and locale), for a check how many cells were compared and how many differed, and, if something fails, the type of error and where in our code it happened. Kept 30 days. Your file's name and contents are never logged.
  • What you choose to send in a form: your email and answers, and in a “This result is wrong” report, the cell it's about (the sheet's name and the cell, shown in the form so you can change it) and what you expected. Kept for up to 12 months, then deleted automatically. Ask privacy@sheetsure.com to delete it sooner.
  • Emails you send to our addresses. Kept only as long as we need them to answer you, and no longer than 12 months.

Who processes it

Our hosting providers in the United States run the conversion and serve the site, and our email provider handles email. They handle your file and the logs above only to provide SheetSure for us. Cloudflare also runs the Turnstile check above; it uses that check's data to improve how it detects automated traffic too, as its addendum says.

Your choices

To see or delete anything you sent us, write to privacy@sheetsure.com. We answer at the email address saved with what you sent, so we know it's you. A report sent without an email can't be traced back to you; it's deleted after 12 months like the rest. To report a security issue, write to security@sheetsure.com.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above.
